INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel will take on the Toledo Walleye on Saturday night as they finish up a road weekend featuring games against Fort Wayne and Toledo, in hopes to hold on to their second place spot in the Central division standings.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was Wednesday, March 27 when the Walleye visited Indy and took a 3-2 win over the Fuel despite Indy outshooting them 25-12. Toledo scored two goals in the first period which the Fuel matched in the second period. However, a late power play goal by Bliss locked in the win for the Walleye.
CENTRAL STANDINGS
The Toledo Walleye clinched the Central division with a narrow 3-2 victory in Indy on Wednesday night. While they sit atop the standings with 93 points, the second through fifth place teams are separated by just eight points in a race that has been close all season. With the season drawing to an end and a lot of in-division play still ahead, it’s anybody’s game.
