INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel will take on the Wheeling in Nailers on Sunday in hopes to clinch a playoff berth which they could earn with a win or an overtime or shootout loss. In a tight playoff race, Wheeling will also be looking for a win to jump ahead of Fort Wayne in the Central division standings.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was last Wednesday when Wheeling visited Indy in the final weeknight game of the regular season. With two-goal games from Andrew Bellant and Kyle Maksimovich, the Fuel defeated the Nailers 6-5 after a late comeback goal by Andrew Perrott to force overtime.
MAKSI MAGIC
Kyle Maksimovich has twelve points in ten games against Wheeling this season, including seven goals. He is the team leader in both goals and points over the Nailers. He also leads the Fuel in goals for the season with 26. He also leads the team in multi-goal games with five.
