INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel have announced on Thursday that they have re-signed forward Brett Bulmer to a standard player contract for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
Bulmer, 32, returns to the Fuel after a successful season with Indy last year where he tallied 32 points in 33 games with the team. He was +5 on the season and collected 31 penalty minutes.
Before joining the Fuel, Bulmer spent three seasons in the Germany3 league where he played for the Tilburg Trappers and Hanover Indians. In 112 games, he tallied 205 points and helped his team to the playoffs twice where he collected 18 points in 14 games.
Prior to that, the 6’4 forward played in three different European leagues from 2016 to 2020 with the exception of the 2017-18 season which he spent with the Florida Everblades of the ECHL. With Florida, he tallied 42 points in 70 games while racking up 144 penalty minutes. They were the ECHL regular season champions that year and he went on to score thirteen points in 20 playoff games during their playoff run.
Bulmer made his NHL debut with the Minnesota Wild during the 2011-12 season after being drafted by them 39th overall in the 2010 NHL Draft. He played in the Wild’s organization for five years before shifting his career to Europe.
