INDY FUEL PIT STOP: WEEK 1

GAME 1 - FRIDAY, OCTOBER 18 AT SAVANNAH - 4-1 L

The Fuel took the long bus ride to Savannah to kick off the 2024-25 season against the Ghost Pirates. It was all Ghost Pirates as Savannah wouldn’t allow a Fuel goal until the final minute of the game and breezed by Indy with a 4-1 win.

GAME 2 - SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19 AT ATLANTA - 1-0 L 

The Fuel continued their road trip in Atlanta Saturday night playing their first of two games against the Gladiators. It was a goaltender showcase as Atlanta hung on to beat the Fuel 1-0.

GAME 3 - SUNDAY, OCTOBER 20 AT ATLANTA - 3-0 L

The Fuel finished their weekend with the second of two games against the Atlanta Gladiators on Sunday. Despite outshooting Atlanta 31-27, the Fuel fell 3-0 to the Gladiators for the second day in a row.

OIL DROPS

• Defenseman Adam McCormick is tied for third most shots in the league with 11, and is leading all rookies.
• McCormick also scored his first professional goal and the Fuel's first of the season on Friday against Savannah.
• Goaltender Ben Gaudreau is ranked second in the league in saves with 49 after two starts.

TEAM NOTES

• Indy's road penalty kill is ranked fifth after killing 90.9% of penalties this weekend.
• The Fuel are one of just two teams who have played three games so far. The Reading Royals also began their season with three games in one weekend.
