INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel will finish their weekend on Saturday night against the Kalamazoo Wings, who they faced last night. The Fuel have never been outshot by an opponent this year despite being 1-4-0-0, so they are looking to convert those shots into goals against the K-Wings.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was last night when the Fuel were shutout 2-0 by Kalamazoo. After a scoreless first period and a lot of penalties killed by the Fuel in the second, Kalamazoo struck first with a late goal in the middle frame. They followed it up with another in the third, while shorthanded.
STRIKE FAST
Indy has yet to score a goal in the first or second period at all this season. Last year, the Fuel only won one game where they were down headed into the third period. While they are able to keep consistent pressure on with high shot attempts, a key to winning for Indy will be scoring earlier and striking first.
