Peyton Jones suspended to retain ECHL playing rights
Peyton Jones has been suspended by the Fuel to retain his ECHL playing rights. Jones has signed a contract overseas with the Vienna Capitals of the ICEHL.
Joe Vrbetic signs ECHL deal with Fuel
The Fuel have signed Goaltender Joe Vrbetic to an ECHL contract for 2024-25 season.
Vrbetic, a seventh-round pick by the Montreal Canadiens in 2021, played all of last season with the Trois-Rivières Lions. He appeared in 33 games, posting a .891 save percentage with a 10-14-3 record.
Jalen Luypen assigned from Rockford by Chicago
Forward Jalen Luypen has been sent down to Indy from Rockford by the Chicago Blackhawks.
Luypen, a seventh-round draft pick in 2021, is currently under contract with the Chicago Blackhawks in the NHL. In 64 games for Rockford last season, the left-shot forward scored four goals and had 16 assists for a total of 20 points.
Adam McCormick placed on IR
Defensemen Adam McCormick has been placed on the 14-day injured reserve. McCormick is currently under contract with the Rockford IceHogs but has spent all season with the Fuel.
