INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel will host the Allen Americans on Friday night. As they celebrate the eras of Fuel’s past and Taylor Swift, Indy is still looking for their first win inside Fishers Event Center. Allen enters this game on a three-game losing streak against the Wichita Thunder and Tahoe Knight Monsters.
THE LAST TIME
The last time these two teams met was January 19, 2018 when the Fuel defeated the Americans 6-3. Indy’s Josh Shalla, who will be visible on the Fuel’s Eras Night jerseys, scored a hat trick in that game, with goals less than two minutes apart in the second period.
SHAKE IT OFF
The Fuel head into this game in fourth place in the Central division, with a 8-7-1-1 record. They are tied with the Bloomington Bison with 18 points. Those teams trail the Fort Wayne Komets with 23, in third place. Indy is looking to bounce back after dropping two games to the second place Iowa Heartlanders at home last weekend. The Fuel will also hit different, as captain Chris Cameron will serve the final three games of his suspension this weekend.
LAST GREAT AMERICAN(S) DYNASTY
The Allen Americans come into this game with a 7-8-4-0 record, in sixth place in the Mountain division, and on a three-game losing streak. They also currently have 18 points. Players to watch for the Americans will be Easton Brodzinski and Brayden Watts, who are both tied, looking for point number 22 this season.
