GAME 27 - TUESDAY, DECEMBER 31 AT KALAMAZOO - 3-2 W

The Fuel headed to Kalamazoo for an evening New Year’s Eve game against the K-Wings. After being tied for two periods, the Fuel closed the game out in the third and took a 3-2 win.

GAME 28 - FRIDAY, JANUARY 3 VS KALAMAZOO - 4-1 W

The Fuel hosted the Kalamazoo Wings in their first game of 2025 on Friday night. After two goals in the third period by Ty Farmer, Indy took the win again, 4-1.

GAME 29 - SATURDAY, JANUARY 4 AT CINCINNATI - 4-2 L

The Fuel traveled to Cincinnati for the second time this season. The Cyclones revamped roster would help them split the season series and give Cincy the victory 4-2.

ROSTER MOVES

• Forward Zach Bannister traded from Adirondack (ECHL) on 1/3/25
• Defenseman Brandon Burlon signed SPC on 1/3/25
• Forward Andrew Bellant traded to Idaho (ECHL) on 1/5/25
• Forward Thomas Caron traded from Idaho (ECHL) on 1/5/25

OIL DROPS

• Forward Cam Hausinger has the fourth highest shooting percentage in the league with 26.7%. He has 11 goals on 42 shots.
• Hausinger also leads the league in most penalty minutes accrued in one game with 32. He earned that many on November 27, 2024 in the Fuel’s game against Utah.
• Goaltender Ben Gaudreau is ranked sixth in the league and fourth among rookies with a 2.20 goals against average. He is tied with Jacksonville’s Justen Close.
• Only three players have played all 29 games for the Fuel this season and they are defenseman Ty Farmer, and forwards Kevin Lombardi and Ryan Gagnier. 

TEAM NOTES

• The Fuel’s penalty kill is ranked second in the lead overall with a success rate of 89.6%. Their home penalty kill is ranked fourth, while they get the edge on the road where they are ranked third.
• Indy still both scores and allows the most goals in the third period. So far this season, the Fuel have scored 27 goals in the third period while allowing 23. 
• Despite scoring the most in the third frame, the Fuel shoots the least in the third period. They have recorded 254 third period shots this season.
• Indy currently leads the league in shots against average by a large margin. Through 29 games, the Fuel have seen 667 shots. The next closest team is Kansas City, who have seen 830.
