INDIANAPOLIS - The Fuel take on the Bloomington Bison for the fourth time in five days on Education Day at the Fishers Event Center. This will be the Fuel's second Education Day game of the season, winning their only other one in Toledo on November 13, 4-1.
SPECIAL TEAMS FOCUS
In the previous three games against the Bison, the Fuel are 1-13 on the power play with their one goal coming from Colin Bilek on the team's first power play opportunity in this series. The Fuel had a stretch of nine games from January 17 to February 12 where they converted on at least one power play per game but that has slowed to only converting one power play in their last seven games. A major focus needs to be put on special teams to keep the playoff push alive.
DIVISIONAL PLAYOFF RACE
As it is every year, the Central Division is in a tight playoff race for the fourth and final playoff spot. The Bloomington Bison (51 points), Indy Fuel 49 points), the Cincinnati Cyclones (46 points), and Kalamazoo Wings (43 points) are all in a tight race for that final spot. A win against Bloomington on Education Day would set the Fuel up in fourth place and in position for the final Central Division playoff spot.
