Fuel team up with 107.5 / 1070 The Fan for 2017-18 Season

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs announced Tuesday a new broadcast agreement with 107.5 / 1070 The Fan for the 2017-18 season. All 74 Fuel preseason and regular season contests will be streamed live on 1070TheFan.com, with “Voice of the Fuel” Terry Ficorelli once again providing the call from the broadcast booth.

The 2017-18 season also marks the return of the Indy Fuel Live radio show, which will be carried over the air on 107.5 FM and 1070 AM starting in October. During the monthly program, Ficorelli will welcome Head Coach Bernie John, Fuel players and a host of other guests in front of a live audience, with plenty of exciting prizes up for grabs for fans in attendance. Show dates and locations will be announced shortly.

“The Indy Fuel are extremely excited for the opportunity to be part of 1070 The Fan's lineup for the upcoming season,” said Fuel CEO Sean Hallett. “As an organization, we always strive to make it simple for our passionate fans to follow their favorite team from wherever they are, and we are confident that the great team at Emmis Communications can help us achieve that goal.”

“As the premiere sports station in Indianapolis, we are thrilled to partner with the Indy Fuel on this new broadcasting venture,” 107.5 / 1070 The Fan Program Director Jeff Rickard explained. “The Fuel provide an exciting fast-paced brand of sport that we want to help get further into the marketplace. We are excited to be offering their broadcasts on our live stream and the coach's show over our airwaves.”

Once again, Fuel fans can also catch every game through ECHL.TV - the league's official streaming service, powered by NeuLion. With ECHL.TV fans can follow their favorite teams with live audio and video streams, available right on their computer or digital device. Single-game passes are available for every ECHL game in 2017-18, as well as team and full-season packages.

Ficorelli is embarking on his second season in Indianapolis as “Voice of the Fuel”, his 43rd year as a professional hockey broadcaster. A veteran of over 3,600 games, the Detroit native was a three-time winner of the “Best Sports Announcer Award” during his time with the Cincinnati Cyclones from 1990-95.
