The following is a letter from the Indiana State Fair Commission:
October 6, 2017
Indy Fuel Fans,
Like you, we are thrilled about the start of the 2017-2018 season. We anticipate another exciting year for the Fuel and are looking forward to their continued success. However, before the team drops the puck this season, we wanted to provide some details regarding a change to the Indiana State Fairgrounds/Indiana Farmers Coliseum.
As part of our efforts to provide a safe environment for our guests, the Indiana State Fair Commission has implemented some new measures. The most visible enhancement will be the use of metal detectors at all Fuel home games, along with all other events occurring at the Coliseum.
Upon entry, we'll kindly ask that you remove metal items such as keys and cell phones from your pockets. Experienced personnel will be operating the metal detectors and there should be little to no delay in entering the building.
The Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center will also have personnel in the lobby before the game on October 6th to answer any questions you may have.
Your support of the Fuel is appreciated and we hope you will view these measures as an improvement to your safety and security.
We look forward to joining you in cheering on the Fuel this season!
Sincerely,
The Indiana State Fair Commission
