Fuel Grad of the Month – Kevin Lynch

After tallying two goals and three assists over his first seven games this season with the American Hockey League's Syracuse Crunch, forward Kevin Lynch is the Marian University Fuel Grad of the Month for October.

Lynch, 26, sits in a third place tie among all Crunch players with five points through the first four weeks of the AHL season. The native of Grosse Point, Mich. marked a goal and an assist - including the game-winning tally with 1:03 left in regulation - to lead Syracuse to a 3-2 road win over the Rochester Americans last Saturday.

A second-round selection of the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft (No. 56 overall), Lynch started the 2016-17 season with the Fuel, recording 24 points (11g, 13a) in 35 games played. One of Indy's alternate captains to begin last season, the University of Michigan product signed a professional tryout contract with Syracuse in January, seeing action in 37 games for the Crunch.

In addition, Lynch chipped in three goals and two assists in 19 playoff contests, as Syracuse advanced all the way to the 2017 Calder Cup Final, where they fell to the Grand Rapids Griffins in six games.
