INDY FUEL WEEK 7 RESULTS: (2-1-0-0, 9-8-0-0 Overall, 3rd Central Division)

Wednesday, November 21 - Fuel 3 vs. Toledo 2: Indy improved to 6-2 on home ice to start the season by snapping the Toledo Walleye's 10-game winning streak with a 3-2 victory Wednesday at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. Josh Shalla tallied a goal and an assist - including the eventual game-winning tally halfway through the second period - while Matt Tomkins stopped 30 shots to register his second straight win in net. Neil Manning and Connor Moynihan also potted goals for the Fuel, who improved to 2-0 this season against Toledo.

Friday, November 23 - Fuel 0 vs. Cincinnati 3: Indy could not find a way to solve goaltender Jonas Johansson Friday night as the Cincinnati Cyclones blanked the Fuel 3-0 on Black Friday in Indianapolis. Johansson won a goaltending duel with a brilliant 32-save performance, while Indy's Matt Tomkins was also spectacular in defeat with 28 saves. Brady Vail scored a pair of goals and Jesse Schultz notched two assists for Cincinnati, which won its fifth straight game.

Saturday, November 24 - Fuel 6 vs. Kalamazoo 3: A five-goal third period lifted the Fuel to a 6-3 come-from-behind victory over the Kalamazoo Wings Saturday to close a three-game homestand at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. Trailing 2-1 after two periods of play, Indy found the net five times in a span of 4:45 early in the third to take control of the contest. Josh Shalla tallied two goals, while 12 different Fuel skaters registered at least a point. Goaltender Kevin Lankinen stopped 30 of 33 shots faced to improve his record to 4-0 with the Fuel this season.

INDY FUEL WEEK 8 SCHEDULE:

Friday, November 30 - Fuel at Wheeling (7:05 p.m. ET, WesBanco Arena)

The Fuel begin a stretch that sees them play five of their next six games on the road Friday night in West Virginia. Indy and Wheeling will be meeting for the second of 11 times this season this season, with the Fuel grabbing a 5-3 victory during the club's first visit to WesBanco Arena back on Nov. 3.

Saturday, December 1 - Fuel at Toledo (7:15 p.m. ET, Huntington Center)

Indy makes its first of four trips to Huntington Center Saturday as the Fuel go for their third straight win over the Walleye. Last year Indy skated to a 1-2 record in Toledo during the regular season, before dropping Games 1 and 2 of the Central Division Semifinals at Huntington Center.

OIL DROPS:

-Indy improved its record to 7-3 at Indiana Farmers Coliseum, with the seven wins ranking tied for fourth-most in the ECHL.

-The Fuel are 7-1 this season in games immediately following a loss.

-Indy has not lost back-to-back games since setbacks to Kansas City and Idaho on Oct. 27 and 30.

-The Fuel now play five of their next six contests on the road, beginning Friday in Wheeling.

-Saturday's third period explosion was the third time this season where Indy has scored five goals in a single period, and the second time the club has accomplished the feat against Kalamazoo.

-From Nov. 16-23, the Fuel played five straight games against teams that were in first place in their respective divisions at the time of the contest (Utah x3, Toledo, Cincinnati).

-Forward Josh Shalla ranks 11th in the ECHL with 20 points this season (9g, 11a), picking up five goals and one assist over his last six games.

-Olivier Labelle tallied a goal and an assist in Saturday's win, snapping a seven game goalless streak dating back to Nov. 9.

-Labelle and Shalla each logged their sixth multi-point game of the the season against Kalamazoo, and are tied for the team lead in the category.

-Following Matt Tomkins' save on Cincinnati's Myles Powell on Friday, Indy goaltenders are now 3-for-3 in penalty shot situations so far this season. The Fuel had only faced four penalty shots total over their first four seasons in the ECHL.

-Defenseman Zach Miskovic is only four games away from playing in his 500th career professional game. Wednesday's game against Toledo was Miskovic's 200th game in a Fuel uniform.
