Fuel Alumni Spotlight - Anders Franzon

ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT PRESENTED BY MARIAN UNIVERSITY INDIANAPOLIS - ANDERS FRANZON

Before Anders Franzon joined the professional ranks, he was a four year player for the University of Vermont. At Vermont, Franzon appeared in 125 games and scored 24 points while also accumulating 67 PIM. Once his four years of eligibility were up, he went off to start his professional career in the CHL playing for the Missouri Mavericks in 2014 for the last season of CHL play before the ECHL merger.

In 2015, Franzon joined the Fuel and would play two seasons here in the Circle City. During his two years, Franzon score 32 points while skating in 126 games. After his tenure with the Fuel, Franzon left the States for the EIHL where he contributed to the Sheffield Steelers claiming the 2017 EIHL Cup. That season he appeared in 55 games and totaled 15 points on the year. After winning the cup, Franzon decided to retire from professional hockey.
