FISHERS- The Indy Fuel announced on Thursday that they have acquired the rights to defenseman Brayden Hislop in a trade, sending Will Ennis to Jacksonville along with a player to be named at a later date.
Ennis played 63 games last season for the Indy Fuel, tallying one goal and three assists in a traditional defenseman role. Prior to that, he played four seasons at the University of Windsor.
Hislop, 22, played thirteen games for the Rockford IceHogs last season after 36 games with the Icemen. Additionally, he played 45 games for Jacksonville during the 2024-25 season. Prior to that, he was in the Ontario Hockey League for three seasons, playing for three different teams.
The St. Clements, Ontario native is a left-handed defenseman, who is 6’1 and 181 pounds. He signed a professional tryout with Rockford late last season and earned another opportunity with them this year.
