Fuel Close Out Weekend Against Cincinnati

THIRD TIMES A CHARM: Indy hosts Cincinnati on Saturday night for the third time this season and for the third time at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. The Fuel hosted the Toledo Walleye on Friday night and knocked off the Central Division leaders 4-2, seeing goals from Alex Krushelnyski, Spencer Watson, Graham Knott and Joe Sullivan. The Cyclones took on the Brampton Beast on Friday night falling by a score of 3-0 and ended their winning streak at two games.

THE MATCHUP: Cincinnati and Indy have faced one another twice this season in Indy's first home weekend of the season. The Fuel split the weekend with the Cyclones, winning Friday's game 3-0 and falling 3-2 on Saturday night. Both team's penalty kills were stellar on the 25th and 26th with Indy going 4-for-4 on the weekend Cincinnati going 6-for-7. The Cyclones come into Saturday's matchup having won three out of their last five games while Indy has won two out of their last five.

LEADING THE PACK: Coming off of a two point game on Friday night, Alex Krushelnyski leads the Indy Fuel in points, tallying four goals and nine assists in eight games this season. Krushelnyski scores 18 seconds into Friday's game and doubled his point total assisting on Spencer Watson's goal. In eight games for the Cyclones, Jesse Schultz leads the team in points as well as goals. Having earned five goals and three assists in nine games, Schultz will be looking to earn a point in five out of his last six games.

SPECIAL TEAMS BATTLE: Although they were unable to score on the power play on Friday night, Indy shut down the best power play in the league, going 3-for-3 on the penalty kill against Toledo. The Fuel special teams both sit in the top ten in the league with the power play scoring on 24.2% of their chances and the penalty kill stopping 84.6% of penalties. Heading into Saturday's matchup, Indy is the league's least penalized team and Cincinnati's power play is the worst in the league, capitalizing on 5.6% of their chances.

LOOKING AHEAD: The Fuel will finish off the three-game homestand on Wednesday, November 13 against the Kansas City Mavericks before heading south for a four-game road trip against South Carolina, Greenville, Atlanta and Jacksonville. Back-to-back Central Division matchups will follow on the 22nd and 23rd, taking on Wheeling and Cincinnati.
