LOOKING FOR PAYBACK: The Fuel opened their season on the road against the Wichita Thunder and the Kansas City Mavericks. In their second game of the season, Indy stomped the Mavericks by a score of 6-2, seeing goal Karl El-Mir scored his first three goals of his professional career, as well as three out of Indy's four power-play goals. David and Darian Dziurzynski both tallied goals in October's matchup while the Mavericks' leading scorer Rocco Carzo was held scoreless.

THE MATCHUP: Indy has met Kansas City eight times at Indiana Farmers Coliseum, with Kansas City holding the winning card in five out of the eight games. The Fuel come into Wednesday's matchup having won back-to-back Central Division games on Friday and Saturday. The Mavericks face Indy after winning three out of their last five matchups against the Wichita Thunder and Utah Grizzlies.

LEADING THE PACK: Registering a point in eight out of nine games this season, Alex Krushelnyski leads the Fuel in points with four goals and nine assists, good for sixth in the ECHL. Behind Krushelnyski by one point is Spencer Watson, who is currently riding a nine-game point streak having earned seven goals and five assists. Through 12 games, Kansas City is led by forward Rocco Carzo. Carzo has appeared in all 12 games for the Mavericks and has registered six goals and five assists. Forward Jack Walker is riding in second on the team in points, tallying four goals and six assists in 11 games with the Mavericks.

Hayden Hawkey has split duties with Schneider, appearing in three games and earning a 4.71 goals-against average and a .843 save percentage.
