Fuel Leap Into Homestand Finish

WEEKEND FINALE: After a come from behind win on Saturday night against the Swamp Rabbits, Indy will close out three games in three days with a Sunday afternoon matchup against Greenville. Heading into Sunday afternoon the Fuel has earned points in back to back games with a win on Saturday and shootout loss on Friday night. Greenville enters Saturday having lost nine out of their last 11 games but have earned a point in three of those nine losses.

THE MATCHUP: Sunday's game will be the third and final time the Fuel meets the Swamp Rabbits this season. Putting together a 1-1 record against Greenville this year, Indy will be looking to take the season series on Sunday afternoon. Sitting four points back from Fort Wayne for third in the division, a win on Sunday would put Indy just two points out of third place. With a loss on Saturday and Florida clinching the second playoff spot in the South Division, Greenville is fighting for the final two playoff spots in the division with Orlando and Atlanta.

POINTS LEADERS: After missing eight games with an injury Indy's Alex Rauter netted two goals on Saturday night, including the tying goal in the third period. Rauter has appeared in 41 ECHL games this season, scoring 14 goals and 11 assists. Leading the Fuel in both goals and points this season, Spencer Watson has earned 28 goals and 27 assists. Skating in all 13 games in the month of February, Watson earned four goals and seven assists. Leading the Swamp Rabbits this season with 13 goals and 34 assists, Michael Pelech has failed to earn a point in his last three games. Earning a goal on Saturday night, Greenville's Liam Pecararo sits in second in the ECHL in rookie scoring with 22 goals in 35 games.

SPECIAL TEAMS FIGHT: Scoring three straight power-play goals on Saturday night, Greenville's special teams were in full force. Scoring on 15.6% of their man advantages this season, the Swamp Rabbits sit in 22nd in the league in power-play percentage. Although going 0-for-6 on Saturday, Indy's power-play percentage remains top-5 in the league, scoring on 20.1% of their chances this season. Scoring nine goals on the power play this season, Indy's Spencer Watson is tied for the league lead in power-play goals. Quarterbacking the Fuel power-play Keoni Texeira is two points out of first place among ECHL defensemen in power-play points.

LOOKING AHEAD: Closing out the weekend with an afternoon matchup against Greenville, Indy will head into the next week where they'll play just two games and have a rare Saturday off. Playing back-to-back home games against Central Divison opponents Wheeling Nailers and Toledo Walleye, Indy will have a chance to earn four points in the ECHL playoff race.
