ON THE ROAD AGAIN

Beginning their longest road trip of the season on Wednesday, the Fuel travel to Tulsa for the start of four games in five days. The Fuel have not met Tulsa this season and only met them one-time last season, defeating the Oilers 6-2. Indy will finish out the road trip on Sunday with a matchup against the Wichita Thunder, who will be coming off of their fourth straight game against the Kansas City Mavericks. 

MOVIN’ ON UP

Entering this week, the Fuel have had four players called-up to the American Hockey League. With DJ Busdeker, Riley McKay, Tom Aubrun and Derek Barach called up, the Fuel have made four roster moves of their own. In response to Aubrun being called up to Rockford, Indy added former Toledo goaltender Billy Christopoulos to the fold to play alongside Dan Bakala. With the additions of Nick Hutchison, Michael McNicholas and Ross Olsson, the Fuel roster will look very different heading into Wednesday’s game. 

OIL DROPS:

• Entering Wednesday Matt Marcinew is tied for 4th in the league in points (12)
• Dan Bakala enters Wednesday tied for the league lead in wins (6)
• Spencer Watson is riding a four-game point streak (3g, 4a)
• Nic Pierog is riding a five game point streak (5g, 2a)
• Keoni Texeira has three assists in his last two games

Team notes: 

• Although having both games postponed, Indy still leads the league in winning percentage (.889)
• The Fuel are undefeated through five home games
• Indy sits in 3rd in power play percentage (21.1%) and 6th in penalty kill percentage (85.7%)
• The Fuel have outscored opponents 9-7 in the first period but have been outscored 10-14 in the second period
