This season the Fuel are proud to be teaming up with PNC Bank to help make a difference around Central Indiana. Each month, we'll take a closer look at what the Fuel organization has been up to away from the rink in our Community Spotlight.
This January, the Fuel partnered with American Senior Communities, a senior healthcare provider in Indiana. As part of the City of Fishers 2,000 Acts of Kindness Challenge, Indy Fuel forward Alex Rauter visited residents at Allisonville Meadows in Fishers to deliver cards and spread joy during a difficult time.Â
In a separate event, the Indy Fuel partnered with PJammin for Kids with Cancer, to host PJammin Night. PJammin is an organization that helps raise awareness for childhood cancer and provide free resources to cancer patients and their families.
Fans in attendance were encouraged to wear their favorite pajamas as the Fuel took on the Wheeling Nailers to help raise awareness for childhood cancer. Through donations accepted throughout the night, the Fuel raised over $450 to provide resources and support for kids with cancer and their families.
The seventh season of Indy Fuel hockey is officially underway. The Indy Fuel are committed to getting back out into our communities and make a difference in the community that supports us every game. Whether it is our mascot Nitro, players, coaches or our staff, getting out into the community and making us all one big hockey family is one of the largest priorities of the Indy Fuel organization.
