LAST TIME OUT
In the second game in a row against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, the Fuel looked to respond to a 4-3 loss on Friday night with a win on Saturday. Scoring three goals in the third period, Indy’s Dan Bakala would shut out the Swamp Rabbits en route to a 4-0 win on Saturday night.
UNFAMILIAR FACES
Seeing goals from Michael McNicholas, Alex Rauter and Mike Lee on Friday night, the Indy Fuel saw scoring from players outside of the top three points leaders. Lee scored his first goal in three games while Michael McNicholas scored his first goal since February 6. In his second game back after missing seven games with an injury Alex Rauter, got himself on the scoresheet twice on Saturday night with two goals.
BOUNCING BACK
Entering Sunday afternoon’s game, the Indy Fuel have only lost back-to-back games once this season, falling to Wheeling and Rapid City on January 31 and February 5. After falling to the Swamp Rabbits on Friday 4-3, the Fuel bounced back on Saturday, shutting out Greenville with a decisive 4-0 victory to keep that streak alive. After having their four-game win streak snapped on Friday, Indy will be looking to earn back-to-back wins for the first time since February 17.
