LAST TIME OUT
In their first game of a two-game week, the Indy Fuel hosted the Wheeling Nailers on Wednesday night at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. The Fuel would explode in the second period, seeing goals from Willie Raskob, Matt Marcinew, Spencer Watson and Nic Pierog to eventually give them a 6-0 win on Wednesday.Â
TURNING AROUND
Entering a week with three games and only one coming on the weekend, the Fuel will have time to practice and recover from any injuries that were handed to them in the busy month of February. Heading into Tuesday’s game, the Fuel have lost three out of their last four games, their one win coming against Wheeling on March 3.Â
NIC’S NUMBERS
Coming into Tuesday’s game, the Indy Fuel’s Nic Pierog leads the ECHL in goals with 16. Although the third-year pro has struggled as of late, only scoring one goal in his last four games, Pierog leads the Fuel in goals by six. Through 10 games against the Nailers this season, Pierog has led Indy in scoring, registering seven out of Indy’s 43 goals.Â
