Playing their final game of a 10-game road swing, the Indy Fuel visited the Wheeling Nailers on Wednesday, May 26. Indy would be the first team to get on the board thanks to a goal from Spencer Watson but the Nailers would respond with five straight goals, eventually taking the 5-1 win.
TERRY’S TALLIES CONTINUE
Entering Friday night’s contest, Terry Broadhurst has two goals and three assists in his last three games. Since joining the Fuel in early April, the veteran winger has six goals and ten assists in 19 games.
SEEKING HISTORY
With the Fuel clinching a playoff spot for the second time in franchise history on Wednesday, the Fuel will face the Greenville Swamp Rabbits in Round 1 of the Kelly Cup Playoffs. With two games remaining in the season, Indy has the chance to set the franchise record for most wins in a season.
