Indy Closes out Regular Season with Visit to Wheeling

Taking a 3-1 win over the Nailers on Friday night, Indy enters WesBanco Arena for their final game of the regular season. Indy will be looking for their fifth straight win while the Nailers are looking to end Indy’s regular season on a sour note.

Playing the first of two matchups to close out the regular season, the Indy Fuel visited the Wheeling Nailers on Friday night. After the teams finished the second period tied, Indy put home a pair of goals to earn a 3-1 win and set a franchise record for wins in a season. 

LOOKING AHEAD

In Friday night’s contest against the Nailers, several top players sat out in order to rest for the upcoming Kelly Cup Playoff run. With Indy’s position locked in third place, expect to see a similar lineup for the Fuel on Saturday night. 

BREAKING RECORDS

With the Fuel’s 3-1 over the Nailers on Saturday night, the team set the franchise record for wins in a season previously owned by the 2017-18 Fuel team. Clinching a playoff spot prior to the last game of the season, the Fuel will finish the regular season with the highest win percentage in franchise history.
