LAST TIME OUT
It’s been 606 days since the Indy Fuel faced the Cincinnati Cyclones. The last time the two teams met, the Fuel fell 6-5 at Heritage Bank Center thanks to Jesse Schultz scoring the game-winning goal. Spencer Watson and Keoni Texeira are the only Fuel players remaining from the 2019-20 team.
PRESEASON
Game one of the preseason gives Head Coach Doug Christiansen his first look at the 2021-22 Fuel team in game action. With 26 players currently participating in the Fuel camp, Christiansen will need to cut his roster down 21 prior to the beginning of the ECHL season. The pair of preseason games this weekend will give players a final opportunity to show why they belong on the roster.
FAMILIAR FOES
Not counting the pair of preseason games, the Fuel will face the Cincinnati Cyclones 13 times this season (7 home, 6 away). Although they didn’t play the Cyclones during the 2020-21 season, the Fuel are no strangers to Heritage Bank Center. Through eight seasons in the ECHL, the Fuel have put together a record of 32-31-3.
