This season the Fuel are proud to be teaming up with McCain Foods to help make a difference around Central Indiana. Each month, we'll take a closer look at what the Fuel organization has been up to away from the rink in our Community Spotlight.
To kick off the month of October, the Indy Fuel joined the Junior Fuel organization for their annual Celly Day. Fans participated in games such as cornhole and a dunk tank as well as took giveaways from several sponsors.
Fuel mascot Nitro also joined the Million Meal Movement at Indiana Farmers Coliseum in early October. Million Meal Movement empowers volunteers to make a difference through hands-on, high-energy meal-packing events. Each year, thousands of volunteers participate in meal packs, and together we donate millions of meals to Indiana food pantries.
Closing out the month of October, the Fuel joined up with the Indiana State Fairgrounds for their Safe Night Halloween Event. During the event, Over 2,000 children had a safe place to trick or treat on Halloween night at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
The eighth season of Indy Fuel hockey is officially underway! The Indy Fuel are committed to getting back out into our communities and make a difference in the community that supports us every game. Whether it is our mascot Nitro, players, coaches or our staff, getting out into the community and making us all one big hockey family is one of the largest priorities of the Indy Fuel organization.
