After dropping Tuesday’s contest in a shootout, the Fuel begins three games in three days on Friday night with a contest against the league’s newest franchise Iowa Heartlanders. Iowa is looking for their first win since October 22 while Indy is looking to earn points in back-to-back games.

In the first meeting in franchise history, the Indy Fuel hosted the Iowa Heartlanders on Friday night. After giving up three goals in the first period, the Fuel bounced back to score five straight goals and take the game 5-3.
SHOOTOUT LOSS
Tuesday night’s loss to Cincinnati was Indy’s first shootout loss since February 28, 2020. The Fuel had two games go to a shootout last season but won both.
YETI LEADING THE WAY
Coming into Friday’s contest against Iowa, Chad Yetman leads the Indy Fuel in points. The 21-year-old forward has skated in five out of Indy’s first six games and has tallied three goals and four assists.
LEE’S HELPERS
Mike Lee enters Friday night averaging a point per game. The 2nd-year defenseman has earned an assist per game this season, putting him in second place among ECHL defensemen in assists.
THIRD PERIOD WARRIORS
Coming into Friday, the Fuel have been outscored 10-8 in the first and second periods. Through six games, however, Indy has outscored their opponents 11-7 as well as outshot them 63-44.
