Earning his 8th win of the season on Friday night, Mitch Gillam has wins in his last six starts. Stopping 19 of 20 shots on Friday, Gillam has only allowed seven goals on 112 shots by the Cyclones. Facing the Wings on Saturday night, Gillam will face a team that has put up 11 goals in two games when he has started.

Scoring Indy’s eventual game-winning goal on Friday, Jacob Leguerrier picked up his first goal since November 19. Splitting his time with Rockford this season, Leguerrier is 3rd among Fuel defensemen in goals (3). Tallying an assist on Jared Thomas’ goal on Friday, Mike Lee has 24 helpers this year, putting him in 1st in among ECHL defensemen.Â

Tallying two assists on Friday night, Darien Craighead continues to move up the Indy Fuel points standings. The 2nd-year pro has skated in 36 games this season, 14 for the Fuel, and has registered 12 goals and 15 assists. Since joining the Fuel in mid-December Craighead has earned six goals and 10 assists in 14 games.Â

Forward Spencer Watson is two goals away from taking 2nd place on the Indy Fuel’s all-time goals list. In his third full season with the Fuel, Watson has scored a total of 61 goals in 131 games, putting him one goal behind Ryan Rupert for 2nd and 19 behind Josh Shalla for 1st place. With 16 goals in 32 games this season, Watson is on pace to break his own record for goals in a season. Â
