INDIANAPOLIS – The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs announced Thursday that goaltender Mitch Gillam has been signed to a pro-tryout agreement with the Rockford IceHogs. Additionally, the IceHogs have assigned goaltender Tom Aubrun to the Fuel.
Gillam, 29, joins the IceHogs after appearing in 25 games with the Fuel, registering a 3.08 goals-against average and a .896 save percentage. Leading the Fuel in wins this season, Gillam is currently in his fifth pro season. Having appeared in a total of 158 ECHL games, Gillam has amassed a 2.95 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage.
Auburn, 26, returns to the Fuel after spending the past three months with the IceHogs. The Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France native has played in four games for the Fuel this season registering a 4.33 goals-against average and a .856 save percentage.
