INDIANAPOLIS – The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs announced Tuesday that goaltender Mitch Gillam has been signed to a pro-tryout agreement with the Belleville Senators.
Gillam, 29, joins the Senators after playing the entire season with the Fuel. The 6-foot, 174-pound goaltender appeared in 32 games with the Fuel earning a 3.03 goals-against average and a .900 save percentage. Earning a call-up to the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs in late August, Gillam started for the IceHogs, registering a shutout in his first AHL start.
