LAST TIME OUT
Playing their first of four games during the week, the Indy Fuel hosted the Cincinnati Cyclones on Wednesday, March 30. Thanks to goals from Riley McKay, Brycen Martin and Cliff Watson as well as a shutout from Justin Kapelmaster the Fuel would go on to win 3-0 on home ice.
FUEL GO FIRST
Scoring the first goal on Wednesday night the Fuel enters Friday with a 25-8-2-1 record when scoring the first goal of the game. Taking a one-goal lead into the locker room after 20 minutes, the Fuel went on to defeat the Walleye 5-4. When leading after the first period this season, the Fuel have gone on to earn a 15-3-0-1 record.
Tallying three goals and three assists in his last two games, Darien Craighead sits atop the Fuel points standings with 27 goals and 29 assists. With 56 points in 68 games, Craighead is having his best season since 2015-16 in the BCHL.
Facing the Cincinnati Cyclones for two games this weekend, the Fuel can potentially knock the Cyclones out of the final playoff spot in the Central. If the Fuel are able to take both wins this weekend and Kalamazoo defeats Toledo in their back-to-back games, the Wings will take the 4th and final playoff spot in the Central.
