INDIANAPOLIS- The Indy Fuel head to Toledo tonight to take on the Walleye in an effort to win their seventh straight game after a tough battle with Fort Wayne last night resulted in a 5-4 win. If the Fuel win in Toledo, it will match their franchise high winning streak of seven games, last achieved in their inaugural season from January 16, 2015 to January 28, 2015.

LAST TIME OUT

The last time these two teams met was in Toledo on November 19, where the Fuel scored three unanswered goals to make the comeback and defeat the Walleye, who are ranked fifth in the Central division currently, with 16 points. Nate Pionk tallied his first game-winning goal of the season in this matchup.

STANDINGS BATTLE

With all seven teams in the Central division in action tonight a lot could happen in the standings. The Fuel and the Cincinnati Cyclones have a strong hold on the top two spots in the division however, they are separated by just one point. The Wings and the Nailers are also separated by just one point in the third and fourth spots but ten points below the Fuel and Cyclones. Finally, the Walleye, Komets and Heartlanders are each separated by one point to round out the bottom of the standings. Depending on how things shake out tonight, the division standings could look much different this time tomorrow.

HOORAY HILLIS

Forward Cam Hillis has been an important part of the Fuel’s lineup after joining the team eighteen games ago. He had his season best three points last night against Fort Wayne and has thirteen points total through eighteen games.
