ABOUT THE HOCKEY:
INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel will host their Fort Wayne rivals for the third time this season, looking to win their sixth straight game to remain in first place in the division.
LAST TIME OUT
These two teams last met in Indy on Thursday, November 17 where the Komets defeated the Fuel 6-3. Chad Yetman, Seamus Malone and Spencer Watson put the Fuel up after the first period but Fort Wayne scored five unanswered goals to make the comeback.
CONSISTENCY IS KEY
All three goalscorers from the previous Fort Wayne matchup have seen success lately and consistently. Spencer Watson is closing in on the all-time Fuel points and goals records, Seamus Malone is on a five-game point streak and Chad Yetman leads the team in +/- with +12 and points per game with 1.06. His last game against Fort Wayne was also part of a seven-game point streak he had earlier in the season.
The Fuel have only lost one game this season when they outshot their opponent, proving they have a lot of success when they can control the puck and get lots of shots on net. As a team, the Fuel have 595 shots with Spencer Watson leading the pack with almost 10 percent of those.
