INDY FUEL WEEK 8 RESULTS: 1-1-0-0, INDY FUEL OVERALL RECORD: 15-6-1-0 Overall (1st Central)

GAME 21 - FRIDAY, DECEMBER 9 VS FORT WAYNE - 5-4 W

Indy hosted the Fort Wayne Komets on Friday night in an attempt to beat them for the second time this season and extend their win streak to six games in a row. With nine back and forth goals, they were able to take the win, 5-4.

GAME 22 - SATURDAY, DECEMBER 10 AT TOLEDO - 4-1 L

The Fuel made the trip to Toledo for a Saturday night matchup against the fifth place Walleye, where they ultimately fell 4-1 in regulation with one goal by Cam Hillis for the Fuel and all four goals for the Walleye scored on the power play.

ROSTER MOVES 

• Goaltender Jeremie Forget was signed by Indy on 12/6
• Defenseman Cooper Zech was recalled by Rockford on 12/11
• Defenseman Chris Cameron was called up by Milwaukee (AHL) on 12/12

OIL DROPS 

• With an assist on Saturday, Nate Pionk is now the only player with a point streak against Toledo this season.
• Cam Hillis had a four point weekend scoring a goal in each game.
• Spencer Watson leads the team with 66 shots which is over 10% of the team’s total shots.
• Kale Howarth joins Seamus Malone as the only two players this season to score game winning goals on back-to-back nights.
• Cam Hillis is also the only player on a home point streak headed into Wednesday’s game. He has at least one point in the Fuel’s last two home matches.

TEAM NOTES

• The Fuel still lead the league in shorthanded goals with eight after a shorthanded goal from Cam Hillis on Saturday.
• Indy is still in first place in the Central division with 31 points through 22 games. 
• The Fuel have the largest differential in their power play ranking between home and away in the league. Their home power play is ranked 26th while their away power play is ranked 3rd.
• Indy allows more goals later in the game. So far they’ve allowed 16 in the first period, 20 in the second and 26 in the third through 22 games. 
• Indy has a goals per game average of 3.64 while outscoring their opponents 80-63.
