MATCHUP: Indy Fuel @ Fort Wayne Komets
PUCK DROP: 7:30 p.m. EST
INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel continue their weekend in Fort Wayne, looking for their fourth win in a row to widen the gap in the Central division standings even further. Indy is currently seven points ahead of Cincinnati in the standings, and 17 points ahead of Fort Wayne who sit in fifth place in the division.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was last Sunday in Fort Wayne where the Fuel came back from a 3-1 first period deficit, forced overtime and took the 6-5 win with two-goal games from Luc Brown and Spencer Watson.
The Fuel are coming off of a game where they hosted their toughest division rival, the Cincinnati Cyclones last night. After winning just one game against them in the first half of the season, they kicked off the second half with a big shutout win, the first of Zach Driscoll’s career. After some roster changes and injuries affecting the lineup, this was a huge, dominant win for the Fuel, who are already a top three team in the league.
YETMAN, YET AGAIN
Dating back to November 25 against Iowa, Chad Yetman has been quietly collecting at least one point per game and drawing close to the Fuel franchise record of 15 games in a row with a point held by his current teammate, Spencer Watson.
