INDIANAPOLIS – The Indy Fuel have announced on Friday that captain Keoni Texeira has been signed to a professional tryout agreement with the American Hockey League’s Colorado Eagles. Additionally, the Fuel have signed two defensemen from the Southern Professional Hockey League, Patrick Gazich and Bryan Etter.
This is Texeira’s fourth season with the Fuel and second as captain for Indy. He has scored four goals and tallied seven assists in twenty games this season. Last season he was called up to the San Jose Barracuda of the AHL for four games.
Gazich, 26, will join the team from the SPHL’s Quad City Storm where he has tallied eight points in 26 games. During the 2021-22 season, the 6’1 defenseman as captain of the Gustavus Adolphus College Golden Gusties and collected 13 points in 26 games before signing with the SPHL’s Pensacola Ice Flyers for six games.

Etter will join the team from the SPHL’s Evansville Thunderbolts where he has scored one goal in 16 games. Earlier this season, the 26-year-old played four games for the Macon Mayhem of the SPHL and scored one goal there as well. Last season, Etter had five call-ups to the ECHL from the Mayhem.
From 2018-2020, the 6’2 defenseman did not play after two years with the Suffolk University Rams.
