INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel are headed to Kalamazoo to take on the Wings for the eighth time this season for their ‘Pink Ice’ game. Kalamazoo currently sits in sixth place in the Central division with 39 points while the Fuel remain in first place with 62.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was on January 29 when the K-Wings visited Indy and lost to the Fuel 6-2 with two goals by Andrew Bellant and a three point game by Seamus Malone.
Alex Wideman currently leads the team in points with 49 points. He also leads the Fuel against the K-Wings this season with three goals and five assists. Wideman has played in all 47 games so far this season.
The Fuel have led the league in shorthanded goals all season and extended that lead even more last night with their thirteenth shorthanded goal of the season. Their single season record is 16 which they are on pace to break this season. Scoring shorthanded goals has been a bright spot for the team that has had, otherwise very hot and cold special teams.
