INDIANAPOLIS - The Fuel announced today that assistant equipment manager Jake Flinchem will join the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League for the remainder of the season as an assistant equipment manager.
Born and raised in Indianapolis, Jake has been with the Fuel since the inaugural season.
Jake has worked in hockey since 2008 and was part of two championships with the Indiana Ice serving as a stick boy with his father Darrin (a.k.a “Flinchy”), who is the Fuel’s current equipment manager.
The Flinchem family has been a staple of Indianapolis hockey dating back to 1995, when Darrin served as the assistant equipment manager for the IHL’s Indianapolis Ice.
Jake is the oldest of Flinchy’s three sons. His younger brothers Luke and Zach are often spotted helping around Indiana Farmers Coliseum too.
Good luck, Jake!
