ABOUT THE HOCKEY:
INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel host the Kalamazoo Wings for the second time this weekend after a loss to them last night. This is their thirteenth meeting with the K-Wings as they look for their ninth win against the division rivals.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was last night when Kalamazoo forced overtime and ultimately won 4-3 with a goal by Ben Copeland. The K-Wings scored two quick goals in the second period that the Fuel matched. Indy took the lead with Koletrane Wilson’s first ECHL goal but Kalamazoo tied it up and ultimately took the win.
RINGING THE BELLANT
Forward Andrew Bellant has been hot lately with four points in the Fuel’s last four games, including some key plays that earned him a spot on the first line with Chad Yetman and Alex Wideman this weekend. With a goal and an assist last night against Kalamazoo, Bellant should play a key role in the Fuel’s offense tonight as well.
LANG TIME
Despite not finding himself on the score sheet since March 12 in Indy’s win over Fort Wayne, Chase Lang has had 11 shots on goal in the Fuel’s last four games, has been part of some integral passing sequences and has found time on the power play to excel and move the puck.
NONPROFIT OF THE GAME:
Kid’s Voice
Partnering with hundreds of dedicated volunteers, Kids’ Voice of Indiana positively impacts the lives of more than 5,000 Hoosier children each year.
