INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel continue their weekend in Cincinnati with their ninth meeting of the season with their division rivals, the Cyclones. Indy is 2-5-1-0 against Cincinnati, who lead the division with 76 points.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was Saturday, February 25 when the Cyclones defeated the Fuel in Indy 7-1. This was the largest scoring deficit the Fuel have seen all season. Fuel captain Keoni Texeira was the lone goal scorer in that matchup for Indy.
POWER PLAYS
The Fuel’s special teams have evolved through the season but they have always hovered in the top third of the league in power play success. They head into this game with a 22.2% success rate on the power play while Cincinnati’s comes in at 18%. The Fuel also have the edge on the penalty kill with an 83.1% penalty kill rate while the Cyclones find success 80.3% of the time.

The Fuel have added quite a few new faces to the lineup since the last time these teams met, the most notable being Max Golod who was assigned to Indy by Rockford ahead of their win against Wheeling on Friday night. Golod is currently on an NHL contract with the Blackhawks, has 44 points in 43 games and scored a goal on his very first shot with the Fuel last night.
