ABOUT THE HOCKEY:
INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel host the Wheeling Nailers in their fourth meeting of the season. Indy currently sits in third place in the Central division with 68 points while the Nailers are in fifth with 51 points.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was Sunday, January 22 where the Wheeling Nailers claimed their first and only win over the Fuel so far this season. In the 3-1 match, Cam Hillis scored first for the Fuel but the Nailers scored three in the third period and Indy couldn’t come back.
BEND IT LIKE BILEK
The Fuel recently added forward Colin Bilek, who joins the team from the Trois-Rivieres Lions of the ECHL, where he played 45 games. He recorded 14 goals and 9 assists. His 23 points in 46 games this season puts him in seventh place on the Fuel roster in points but he comes in second in shots with 137 on the season as well as power play goals with six. He can be an offensive powerhouse, especially on special teams, for this team that has been struggling to score lately.
AIR JORDAN
Forward Zach Jordan is another offensive weapon the Fuel have added to their roster this week. Jordan comes from the Jacksonville IceMen and actually played two games against Indy when they visited earlier this season. While in Jacksonville, Jordan was named ECHL Player of the Week for the week of January 9, where he had five goals and an assist in three games.
