INDY FUEL WEEK 25 RESULTS: 1-1-0-0INDY FUEL OVERALL RECORD: 40-24-5-0 Overall (3rd Central)

GAME 68 - SATURDAY, APRIL 8 VS IOWA - 2-1 W

The Fuel hosted the Iowa Heartlanders for the final time this season on Saturday night. The Fuel came away with the 2-1 victory. Additionally, the coveted annual Weiner Dog race resulted in an undisputed win from the appropriately named ‘Champ’ who claimed his eighth title as the Fuel celebrated Pucks & Paws Night.

GAME 69 - SUNDAY, APRIL 9 VS CINCINNATI - 5-3 L

The Fuel hosted the Cincinnati Cyclones for the final time this season in an attempt to gain some momentum headed into the playoffs after a win last night over Iowa. Despite scoring first, the Fuel ultimately fell to the Cyclones 5-3 in regulation.

ROSTER MOVES 

• Forward Matus Spodniak released on 4/9
• Forward Finn Evans released on 4/5
• Goaltender Mitchell Weeks assigned by Rockford on 4/5
• Defenseman Ross MacDougall assigned by Rockford on 4/4

OIL DROPS 

• Forward Alex Wideman tallied his 400th professional point on Sunday with two assists in the Fuel’s game against Cincinnati.
• Wideman is also the first player in franchise history to have a 50+ assist season, tallying his 50th on Sunday as well.
• Seamus Malone returned to the lineup this weekend after missing two months due to injury. He scored three goals this weekend and tallied an assist on Sunday. 
• Additionally, Malone scored his ninth game winning goal with the Fuel, tying Chad Yetman for most franchise game winners.
• This Friday night against the Fort Wayne Komets will be Yetman’s 100th game as a member of the Fuel.

TEAM NOTES

• The Fuel tallied their 40th win of the season on Saturday with a 2-1 victory over Iowa. This is the first time Indy has reached 40 wins in one season. 
• Indy is officially the only team in the league who has not gone to a shootout at least once this season.
• Sunday was the first time this season that the Fuel lost when having 40 or more shots in one game. 
• Indy is 22-11-1-0 when scoring first this season.
• While on the road, the Fuel have only lost one game when leading after two periods.
