INDIANAPOLIS - The Fuel will head to Kalamazoo for the first of two back-to-back games on the road. The season series is split between these two 1-1 with the Fuel most recently coming out on top 6-2 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum.
LAST TIME OUT
Things started hot for Kalamazoo in the first as they took a 2-1 lead after the first 20 minutes of play. After that, it was all Fuel. Four goals in the second period and one more to ice the cake in the third powered the Fuel to their first victory against Kalamazoo this season.
TINO’S TREATS
It was Hallo-weekend the last time these two played each other and Santino Centorame was dishing out treats like an ice cream truck. Centorame assisted on three straight goals, including two to Kyle Maksimovich. He currently sits inside the Top 10 for most assists by a defenseman in the ECHL.
AROUND THE DIVISION
The season is still young but there currently sits a four-way tie atop the Central Division. Those teams include the Wheeling Nailers, Fort Wayne Komets, Kalamazoo Wings, and the Indy Fuel. All teams have recorded a point so far but Iowa is still searching for their first win of the young season.
