INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel are back in Norfolk for their final game of the weekend against the Admirals. With close wins in the first two matches and big games by Cam Hillis and Bryan Lemos, the Fuel will look to sweep the weekend.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was last night when the Fuel defeated the Norfolk Admirals 2-1 in a game that remained tied until late in the third period. Cam Hillis claimed both goals for the Fuel. While special teams played an important part in the first meeting between these teams on Friday, there were no power play or shorthanded goals scored last night and only 14 collective penalty minutes.
STANDINGS STORY
The Fuel have jumped to fourth place in the Central division headed into today’s game with 32 points, right behind the Wheeling Nailers who have 34. While the Nailers do not have a game today, the Fuel will remain in fourth place regardless of the outcome of their match with Norfolk as even a regulation win would tie Wheeling in points, but with a lower win percentage. Still, this is the highest the Fuel have been ranked in the division so far this year.
