INDIANAPOLIS â€” The Indy Fuel are pleased to announce numerous records broken this season, ranging from attendance to player statistics. 

The team has two players who surpassed 100 Fuel points this year. Cam Hillis, between the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 regular season, accumulated 111 points. In total Hillis has 32 goals and 79 assists through both seasons. 

Bryan Lemos played his 300th professional game and also surpassed 100 Fuel points over the last three seasons. From 2021-2024, Lemos accumulated 112 points. In total Lemos has 35 goals and 77 assists in 156 games. Lemos also became the first player in franchise history to earn twenty power play assists in one season. 

Kyle Maksimovich was not just the top rookie for the Fuel this season, but also their leading scorer overall. Maksimovich was named Howies Hockey Tape ECHL Rookie of the Month in February. That month, he scored five goals and added 12 assists for 17 points in 12 games. In total, Maksimovich had 26 goals and 33 assists in the regular season. During the playoffs, he was still the leading scorer with three goals and two assists.

Captain Seamus Malone set a new franchise record for most game-winning goals with 10. Malone scored his tenth franchise game winner on March 29 against the Fort Wayne Komets, where he scored in OT off an assist from Matus Spodniak.

Additionally, Zach Driscoll became the Fuel’s all-time goaltending wins leader with 43. He edged out Matt Tomkins, who claimed 40 wins in 79 games with the Fuel. Tomkins has currently played six games for the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning. Driscoll ended the season 22-12-0 with a save percentage of .893 and seven PIM.

Mitchell Weeks set a new franchise record for shutouts with five. Two of them were back-to-back this season. The Ontario native is on an American Hockey League contract with the Rockford IceHogs. Weeks is third on the Indy Fuel’s goaltending all-time wins record with 30, he ended the season 15-10-6 with a save percentage of .898. 

As a team, the Fuel won their first playoff home game on April 19th. They won Game 1 against the Wheeling Nailers, 5-2. 

This year was also record breaking for attendance. As the team had a record number of sellouts with 12, doubling their previous sellout high. Some examples of these were Teddy Bear Toss (Dec. 16), Video Game Night (Dec. 30) and Star Wars Night (Jan. 20th). 

The team also held a Sock Toss on Wizard Night, where 6,380 fans donated 6,343 pairs of socks, the most ever collected in a hockey game sock toss event. That game was also memorable because the Fuel won after six shootout rounds, with Jon Martin netting the winning goal.

The team also hit a new single-game attendance record with 7,054 fans inside Indiana Farmers Coliseum for Education Day on Feb. 27. 

Overall, the Fuel set a new single-season home attendance record of 174,692 people.

Lastly, Indy Fuel Digital Content Intern Eva Hallman made history by being the first woman on a Fuel home broadcast when she joined Andrew Smith in the booth. Hallman did color commentary for seven games this season, including three Kelly Cup Playoff games.
