GAME 71 - FRIDAY, APRIL 12 AT FORT WAYNE - 4-3 SOW

The Fuel headed to Fort Wayne for their final away game of the regular season. In a crucial game for the Komets, they made a third-period comeback to force overtime and a shootout but it was the Fuel who were victorious, 4-3 after six rounds.

GAME 72 - SATURDAY, APRIL 13 VS. KALAMAZOO - 3-2 OTW

The Fuel hosted the Kalamazoo Wings for the final regular season game ever at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. With a sellout crowd of 6,327 fans in attendance, the Fuel played into a thrilling overtime period where Jon Martin came away with the winning goal to make it 3-2.

OIL DROPS

Andrew Bellant had the game-winning goal during a six-round shootout in Friday’s game against Fort Wayne. He also scored his 19th in regulation that game.
Rookie Ryan Gagnier scored back-to-back goals in Saturday’s contest against Kalamazoo, he scored them about two minutes apart.
Kyle Maksimovich ended the season 7th on the ECHL Rookie leaderboard. He had 26 goals and 33 assists for a total of 59 points.

TEAM NOTES

The Fuel scored two power play goals in Friday’s contest. With a power play percentage of 20.9%.
Heading into the playoffs against the Nailers, the team penalty kill is strong. The Fuel have a penalty kill success rate of 75.5%.
With lots of penalties in Friday’s contest against Fort Wayne, the team average is 14.7 minutes per game.
