INDIANAPOLIS- The Indy Fuel have their first divisional opponent matchup of the season at Heritage Bank Center on Saturday, where they will take on the Cincinnati Cyclones. Coming off of a three-game road stretch in Georgia, the Fuel look to get their first win of the season against the Cyclones.
SPECIAL TEAMS & STAY OUT OF THE BOX
Power play and penalty kills will be big in this match. Both teams averaged around 14 penalty minutes per game against each other last year. On the power play, the Fuel scored a goal 26.7% of the time, contrary to 10.3% for the Cyclones. Colin Bilek, Kyle Maksimovich, and others scored a power play against the Cyclones last season. However, on the penalty kill last year, the Fuel were successful 89.7% of the time.
POINTS ON THE BOARD
With not having a win yet this season, the Fuel look to get points on the board. The Fuel roster has a lot of depth against the Cyclones, with Andrew Bellant having two goals and one assist in a single game last November. Kyle Maksimovich was the leading scorer against the Cyclones with five goals and three assists in seven games. Captain Chris Cameron and veteran Bryan Lemos both had two assists against the Cyclones last season.
