ATLANTA- The Fuel will finish their weekend in Atlanta with an afternoon game against the Gladiators after facing them last night. The Fuel are still looking for their first win of the season.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was last night where the Gladiators defeated the Fuel 1-0 with the lone goal coming at the end of the first period for Cody Sylvester. After that, it was a battle of the goaltenders. Peyton Jones in his Fuel debut stopped 19 shots while Indy outshot Atlanta 25-20.
FUEL FIRST
As the Fuel head into their Sunday afternoon matchup, they will need to keep shot attempts high and try to outlast the Gladiators in an effort to grab their first win of the season. Last season, Indy won overwhelmingly when scoring first which would be key for them today.
MIGHTY MCCORMICK
Adam McCormick, who scored the Fuel’s only goal in their season opener against Savannah on Friday night, had five shots against Atlanta and now leads the team in shots with seven. He has already proved to be a quick defenseman capable of coming up big and will look to do so again on Sunday.
