INDIANAPOLIS- The Fuel are set to take on the Kalamazoo Wings on Saturday night in their lone game of the week after a postponement due to ice conditions called the game in Bloomington last night.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams met was last weekend when the Fuel hosted the K-Wings for Hockey Fights Cancer night. Keeping up with their massive win streak in specialty jerseys, Indy shut out Kalamazoo and raised a lot of money for Community Health Network. Ben Gaudreau recorded his third shutout of the season while the team had their seventh overall. Kevin Lombardi netted the first goal which was his third game winner of the season.
ABOUT LAST NIGHT
Last night, the Indy Fuel traveled to Bloomington, Illinois to take on new divisional opponent the Bloomington Bison but after warm-ups, the ice surface was deemed unplayable and the game was rescheduled for a later date. While that is not the outcome anyone hoped for, it gave Indy an earlier bus ride and more time to rest ahead of their Saturday matchup. The K-Wings are coming off of a 2-1 loss to Toledo last night and have lost nine of their last ten games.
