INDIANAPOLIS- After allowing four unanswered goals by Maine on Wednesday, the Indy Fuel look to snap their four-game losing streak on Friday night. The visitors, the Kalamazoo Wings, look to snap their seven-game losing streak. Key divisional points are on the line right before the All-Star break.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time these two teams played each other, the Fuel glowed. In a 4-1 victory on Glow Night, Bryan Lemos, Colin Bilek and Ty Farmer combined for four goals. Ben Gaudreau stopped 19 out of 20 shots and both teams combined for only eight penalty minutes. Both teams were unsuccessful on their lone power play opportunities.
MOMENTUM SHIFTS
A common theme for the Fuel this season has been allowing the momentum to shift after a goal or penalty kill. This occurred on Wednesday with Maine scoring just thirteen seconds after a successful power play goal. While penalty minutes are not expected to be high against Kalamazoo, after allowing a goal, the Fuel must keep the energy high and answer back quickly.
